Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 August 2026

Reliance Broadband (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through reliance.ke, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect

  • Details you give us. Your name, phone number, area and any estate or landmark you enter into our installation form, plus the package you express interest in.
  • How you reached us. The advertising campaign, referring website and click identifiers attached to your visit, so we can tell which adverts are useful.
  • Basic technical data. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, collected through analytics and used in aggregate.

We do not ask for and do not want your M-Pesa PIN, passwords, ID number or card details on this website. Nobody from Reliance Broadband will ever ask you for your M-Pesa PIN.

Why we use it

  • To contact you about the installation or quote you requested.
  • To route your enquiry to the engineering team covering your area.
  • To provide, bill and support your service if you become a customer.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and this website.

Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and the performance of our contract with you once you are a customer.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: our own staff and engineers; service providers who host this website, deliver our messaging, or provide analytics and advertising measurement; and authorities where we are legally required to.

If you choose to continue your enquiry on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Customer records are kept for the life of the account and for as long afterwards as tax and licensing rules require.

Your rights

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete your data — see our data deletion page.
  • Withdraw consent or object to marketing at any time.
  • Complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and for measuring adverts on Google, Meta, TikTok and X. Non-essential tracking is only loaded after you accept it, and you can decline without losing access to any part of this site.
